The dual nuclear energy station at Hinkley Level C has taken supply of its 2nd nuclear reactor. The primary arrived in 2023, six years after development started, and is now put in and welded in position on Unit 1 of the facility station.
The reactor used to be shipped from the Framatome Saint Marcel manufacturing unit in France to Avonmouth Docks in Bristol, sooner than being transported through barge to Combwich Wharf at the River Parrett in Somerset.
