Bovis indicators £237m military barracks contract

Bovis Building has signed a £237m development contract for brand spanking new and stepped forward  amenities at Kendrew Barracks in Rutland and at Bulwell Military Reserve Centre in Nottingham.

The initiatives, for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), are a part of the £5.1bn Defence Property Optimisation (DEO) programme.

At Kendrew Barracks, unmarried dwelling lodging for junior ranks, regimental workplaces, and scientific and catering amenities shall be constructed along further supporting infrastructure.

Funding in Bulwell ARC will supply a band apply facility, unit workplaces and safe garage amenities.

Following ongoing design and building paintings, development is scheduled to start out in autumn 2026.

Kendrew Barracks will turn out to be house to 36 Engineer Regiment, which is relocating from Invicta Park in Maidstone. Different gadgets will transfer from Grantham, Telford and Nottingham to permit the disposal of a number of websites.
