NMDOT Opens Bridge Over Railroad Tracks in Jarales : CEG

NMDOT opened a $33.16M bridge in Jarales over BNSF tracks to ease visitors congestion, assist emergency reaction, and improve connectivity. The 15-month mission on NM 109 advanced roads, signage and drainage, reaping benefits the neighborhood and selling financial building.

The New Mexico Division of Transportation (NMDOT) opened a brand new bridge on New Mexico 109 locally of Jarales, giving drivers a method of crossing over BNSF railroad tracks passing thru the city.

“One of the most trains would prevent on this intersection, which might clog the intersection, would not permit visitors to drift, so they’d prevent there for hours at a time simply to refuel the trains, and when there have been emergency scenarios at the different aspect, EMTs could not succeed in them,” NMDOT Venture Supervisor Neto Rey Terraraz advised krqe.com at a ribbon-cutting rite on Nov. 14, 2024.

The $33.16 million mission incorporated developing a brand new bridge over the railroad tracks, rebuilding roughly 0.701 mi. of roadway on NM 109, putting in new roadway striping and signage and bettering drainage and erosion keep an eye on within the surrounding house. The 15-month development started on July 5, 2023.

Wilson & Co. Engineers and Architects was once the dressmaker. FNF Building was once the contractor. Subcontractors incorporated Guzman Building, Valley Fence and Bogan Brothers.
