Southern Water has decided on Kier for £28.8m-worth of labor on seven sewage works and 4 water provide works.
The primary award, Precedence Water Remedy Works Enlargement – Package deal 4 (wastewater), is valued at £23.5mn and covers water remedy works at Billingshurst, Dymchurch, Goddards Inexperienced, Ham Hill, Northfleet, Sidlesham and Stockbridge.
Those upgrades will fortify capability and resilience to fulfill long term call for and make stronger inhabitants expansion.
The second one award, Nitrate Removing Schemes – Batch 1 (water) is valued at £5.3m and encompasses the water provide works at Madehurst, Patching, Mossy Backside and Patcham.
Kier will broaden and optimise answers to decrease nitrate ranges in line with regulatory requirements, making sure compliance with consuming water high quality laws. The early contractor involvement (ECI) segment will be aware of design development, constructability, and programme walk in the park forward of the principle development segment.
Each contracts can be delivered beneath the NEC4 Engineering and Building Contract.
The contract award comes only a few weeks after Kier used to be named for early-stage design and making plans for nitrogen relief works at Portswood wastewater remedy works and the set up of UV disinfection at Thornham wastewater remedy works, in combination value £15.8m.
