BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. (WECT/Grey Information) – An excavator operator died in southeastern North Carolina Monday after the heavy equipment fell right into a frame of water.
In step with a spokesperson with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Place of business, 27-year-old Austin Eugene Furner was once discovered lifeless in a retention pond on Eagle Island.
When rescue crews arrived, the excavator was once the other way up within the water with the cab utterly submerged.
Government didn’t say how the equipment flipped into the water.
The N.C. Division of Hard work Occupational Protection and Well being Department is investigating.
